Hidden Figures is a storytelling and historical preservation project honoring Pentecostal women who shaped the Northeastern corridor’s spiritual and civic life but have been largely left out of dominant narratives. While some are unknown to the academy, most were well-known to the base that made up the tri-state Pentecostal community.

These women: pastors, evangelists, healers, and justice-seekers, built communities, challenged systems, and empowered generations.

It’s time their stories take center stage.
